Liam and Caroline Flynn are Mancunians in their early thirties, already blessed with a teenage daughter, Chloe, and two sons, Mikey and Steve. Being the best parent you can while holding down a job is exhausting – but help is at hand, albeit in the form of Liam’s wayward brothers Tommy and Kevin and their cantankerous dad Jim, not to mention the often unwelcome words of advice from Caroline’s ex-pat parents Pat and Alan.
